We see a church that reaches out to those who are far from God and welcomes them into a life in Christ.
We want to create an atmosphere where we can gather together to worship in the presence of God and be transformed through the message of Jesus. Our heart is to develop lifelong followers of Christ. We’re so glad you’re here! This is your guide to all things City Church so welcome home.
WHAT TO EXPECT

Our message is Jesus. Every Sunday you will hear from a live preacher in person. The messages are engaging and Gospel-centered.
City Church loves kids. Each week your kids will be immersed in Gospel-centered teaching, fun worship, and a safe, clean environment. All ages are welcomed.
Wednesdays 6:30-8pm, you’re invited to join us for a gathering just for students grades 6-12. We’re passionate about becoming followers of Jesus.
Our mission is to develop lifelong followers of Christ in the (940) so we save a place for you each weekend.
Sunday gatherings are a way for all of us to come worship together and to see what City Church is all about. We use this time for corporate worship, teaching, and edification of the church.
Life Groups are a way to get involved in authentic, biblical community at City Church. Growing together is doing life together. We meet up, read the Bible, and then discuss how it applies to our lives.
We strategically serve our community and we serve on Volunteer Teams to help make our gatherings possible.
JESUS: IS OUR MESSAGE
The purpose of City Church is to share the hope of Jesus. Jesus is our message. We are Jesus people, not religious people. Methods will come and go, yet our message will remain the same.
PEOPLE: ARE OUR HEART
Our heart is for ALL people. All people are loved by Jesus. We make no apologies for being specifically focused on reaching those far away from God. We desire to bring the broken home at all costs. We believe that our light is best seen in the night.
GENEROSITY: IS OUR PRIVILEGE
Generosity is about giving more than what is required. We see generosity as a privilege. We’re generous with our time, talents and treasure. We go first in our giving. God has given richly towards us, it’s our honor to give back to Him.
EXCELLENCE: IS OUR SPIRIT
We are going to always do the best with what we have. We’re on time, engaged and prepared. We don’t do things half way. If we’re gonna do it, it’s to the best of our ability.
SERVANT LEADERSHIP: IS OUR IDENTITY
If you’re too big to serve then you are too small to lead. We believe the greatest leadership is service to others. Every leader is a servant first. From the parking lot to the pulpit, everyone serves. Every role is different but they are all important. If you ain’t helping, you ain’t helping!
HONOR: IS OUR CALLING
We are vocal with our honor, meaning we are not stingy with our words. We submit to leadership and are thankful for spiritual authority. We choose joyfully to submit to those God has placed over us. We honor and care for those God has placed under us.
PASSION: IS OUR PURSUIT
Everything we do, we do it with passion. From our worship to our service we do it with Holy Spirit energy. Passion drives us. Passion for Jesus. Passion for people. Passion for His church.
God is the Creator and Ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three personalities: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God.
Genesis 1:1, 26-27; Genesis 3:22; Psalms 90:2; Matthew 28:19
ABOUT JESUS CHRIST
Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father. Jesus lived a sinless life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on the cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven’s glory and will return again someday to earth to reign as King of Kings, and Lord of Lords.
Matthew 1:22-23; John 1:1-5; John 14:10-31; Romans 1:4
ABOUT THE HOLY SPIRIT
The Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and the Son of God. He is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He provides the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. As Christians, we seek to live under His control daily.
2 Corinthians 3:17; John 16:7-13; Ephesians 5:18; John 14:17
ABOUT THE BIBLE
The Bible is God’s word to us. It was written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living. Because God inspires it, it is the truth without error. The Bible was not written only to educate us, but to change our lives.
Psalms 119:19; 2 Timothy 3:16
People are made in the spiritual image of God, to be like Him in character. People are the supreme object of God’s creation. Although every person has tremendous potential for good, all of us are marred by an attitude of disobedience toward God. This attitude, called sin, separates people from God and causes many problems in life.
Genesis 1:27; Psalms 8:3-6; Romans 3 :23; Isaiah 59:1-2
People were created to exist forever. We will either exist eternally separated from God by sin or eternally with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is Hell. To be eternally in union with Him is eternal life. Heaven and Hell are real places of eternal existence.
John 3:16; Romans 6:23; Romans 8:17-18; Revelation 20:15
